Most dancers tend to favor one side of the body, being more technically proficient in left- or right-sided turns, leaps and extensions. More than a matter of creative frustration, unaddressed imbalances in the dancer’s instrument can lead to injuries that compromise career longevity and quality of life. Now, world-renowned principal dancer Israel Rodriguez reveals his secrets for achieving a balanced technical instrument. Through focused barre and center work, Israel shares his knowledge of kinesiology and dance anatomy in this insightful 2-hour workshop aimed at maximizing the dancer’s overall skill and long-term wellbeing.
